This pioneer property on Sparrow Lake may be the oldest extant residence in the municipality of Gravenhurst. It dates to 1858 and was completed 1863. It was built by German immigrant John Everbeck. Michael Clipsham bought the property in 1883 and it remains in the hands of the Clipsham family. The stucco construction with central gable is of the Ontario vernacular style.
