The Ilfracrombe Schoolhouse is on the Heritage Register for the Town of Huntsville, but the date of construction is not identified.The property was not transferred from the school board to the municipality when it stopped being used as a school in the 1980's. It served as the community hall and meeting place for the Buck Lake Association for several years. It was sold to Silver Birch Contracting for $61,000 in April of 2013.
The Ilfracombe Schoolhouse is a one storey, rectangular plan, wood frame construction with a hip roof, overhanging eaves, clapboard siding, a double door central entrance with a transom flanked by flat-headed one-over-one windows on the front façade, and a gabled porch with closed pediment and square posts.
