Notes:
Built in 1904 by builder Charles Cox with financial support from the Osler and Mockridge family on land purchased from the Aiken family for $25, this picturesque frame church has distinctive woodwork and stained glass. Unique decoration reflecting a Muskoka theme was painstakingly wood-burned onto the paneling and
trims. The front gate and door to Christ Church are open year-round.
Faced with white painted cedar shingle, the single storey church with stained glass windows has steeply pitched gables and roof with a bell tower with cross. The entrance and vestry are small wings on the south side of the building. The property is surrounded by granite stone walls and white pine trees.
